BUYER'S GUIDE
PAX 2026: choosing a 1 oz or 1/10 oz gold coin
The two PAX 2026 gold variants share a series and fineness but differ in gold content, dimensions and face value. Start with the total amount of metal you want and the number of individual pieces. A coin's face value does not replace its selling price.

Manufacturer specifications
Pressburg Mint specifies a fineness of 9999/10000 and Liberia as issuing country for both PAX 2026 gold coins. The 1 oz variant is 37 mm in diameter with a 500 LRD face value; the 1/10 oz variant is 16 mm with a 100 LRD face value. The table below uses declared gold content for weight.
The difference between 1 oz and 1/10 oz is ten times the metal content, not ten times the diameter. Equal-sized website thumbnails are therefore not a physical-size comparison. For a presentation box or storage space, use the dimensions and the actual supplied packaging.
One larger coin and ten smaller coins
Ten 1/10 oz coins represent the same declared gold content as one 1 oz coin. They are a different number of individual pieces, and total purchase prices need not match. Request two complete offers in the same currency with equivalent delivery, rather than comparing the ticket price of one small coin against one large coin.
Several pieces allow handover to be divided among recipients. That practical feature does not establish future liquidity or guaranteed buyback. If selling a portion later matters to you, ask a potential buyer about their actual conditions and charges in advance.
Face value is not the metal price
The 100 and 500 LRD figures are face-value specifications. Do not use them as an exchange rate, an estimate of selling price or a comparison of metal value. A quotation needs the selected variant's price and total gold content. The face-value ratio also differs from the gold-content ratio of these two coins.
What to confirm with AURELIS
Specify the year 2026, metal, weight and piece count. Confirm packaging, accompanying documents, complete price and handover date. The mint's product pages are sources for technical specifications; its prices, inventory and shipping terms do not automatically apply to an AURELIS offer.
